Dyna Floorboard (Footboard) conversion kit, FXDP copy for Mid or Fwd controls (MN)
These are Sold!!
I've got a kit for converting a mid or a forward control Dyna to Floorboards.
Made by V-Twin manufacturing, I believe it's a copy of the FXDP kit that's no longer sold by Harley.
Part number 27-0920
Reason I'm selling: I never actually installed this kit. I installed one of the boards, and sat on it in my garage, and decided I liked the forwards for my long legs better. Kit should be complete, though I never completely unpacked it.
Here is the manufacturers product webpage
Here is a link to the installation instructions

Still available. Vonswanko changed his mind.
Personally I think these would be a great solution for someone with mid-controls who wants forwards or floorboards, since all of the pieces to convert a mid control bike are in the kit.
Or if you've got forwards and you're short, these'd be prefect.
Or if you want floorboards, but are concerned about cornering clearance. These sit high enough to be the same clearance as mid-control pegs.
But if you've already got forwards and are tall there are cheaper alternative floorboards for sure.

I'm really tempted but I'm confused. From what I've read on this forum I would need to fabricate additional brackets to make this kit work on an 06.But from the website for this kit it simply states 96 to 09 FXD.I think I'd be more inclined to buy if I thought it was something that would bolt right up.

Would your '06 be any different than my '09? I don't think there were any real changes in that time, at least not external changes. There were internal changes to the motor around that time. But that shouldn't effect this kit.
The brackets it comes with bolt to the forward and the mid control mounts on the frame.
I did test fit the kit partially on my '09. I installed the boards on one side, while leaving my forwards on the other. I can attest I didn't have to fabricate any brackets
Although like I said earlier, I decided with my long legs I liked just the forwards better. I'm 6 foot tall with long legs for my height.
My bike is at my mechanic right now getting the new tires and a SE Compensator installed or I would install just the boards real quick and take a picture.
