Will this fit a 2004 FXD?...mine is carb'd...obviously this is from an injected bike, but I don't know if there's any difference. If it will then I'd be interested in the tank and the 2" lift.

 

same tank so yes will work on yours. only difference is the petcock.

 

What's the petcock difference?...location? Can you send me pics? I have no idea what these items are worth...can you give me an idea of price?

The only difference between the tanks is what you put in the tank, on a carb tank you screw in a petcock to deliver fuel and your done. On an EFI tank you have a quick release fitting instead of a petcock and inside the tank you have a pump and filter. The tanks are the same, if you look up part numbers they will be the same, they both are part # 61590-04.

Chicago HD lists this as:
61590-04 FUEL TANK, PRIME Retail Price:$525.00


This one has a good paint job already on it if you like black you would be all set.

How does 300.00 for the tank and tank lift shipped to the 48 states sound?

 

Thanks for the offer, but that's more than I can afford right now. My bike is red, has a small dent in the tank, and a few rock chips in the fenders, the rest of the bike warrants a good paint job, and I wanted black, but I was quoted $400 for the whole paint job/repairs (basic black...no clearcoated tank decal).
I'm sure that your tank and the bracket is worth that, but I'll pass on it.
