All the parts necessary to put floorboards on your dyna are for sale here!

I took the floorboards off my bike and installed forward controls because I was too cramped on the bike. If you already have forward controls, the switch will be easy. If you have mid controls, I included some of the parts from my forward-controls kit that will help you convert (for example the chrome cover over the spline that extends out the side of the shifter cover).

I bought the bike with 3,400+ miles on it and took the floorboards off at 12,125 miles, so the parts are used. I think they will clean up well.

These parts are for 2001-2004 Dyna Defender Police motorcycles and will fit Dyna Models through those years without modifying your bike. I think the 2006 Dynas and up will require some additional mods. The left front bracket mounts to the transmission covers of your twin-cam on the 2004. I don't think those taps are available in the new motorcycles.

I have heard that people get over $600 for this kit.

I don't think that's reasonable -- I would never pay it.

Do these offer a slightly longer leg reach than factory mids?

 

I believe they do offer a longer reach because of the length of the floorboard, yes

 

Do you still have the floorboards listed here? If so, I think my neighbor might be interested.
