Would you consider this air filter to be better than a screaming eagle one? I have had surging issues for a long time and am beginning to think it might be a intake leak.

 

I have no experience with the screaming eagle air cleaner so cannot compare the two. The Speeds worked fine for me .... just wanted to go with something black. As far as performance or how my bike runs there isn't any noticeable difference between the Speeds and the new RSD that I just installed. As far as the intake leak, have your checked your breather bolts and other fasteners to ensure they haven't backed out over time, if any o-rings are used on the SE (again, no experience with them), maybe one is pinched?
