Is the ceramic heat faded to more of a dark purple or is that just the picture? It seems like it is lighter in color than the tip..

 

It's just poor lighting combined with the settings on my cell phone camera.
The system is still all one color.
I've attached a picture taken outside while still on the bike, shortly before the exhaust was removed.
Regardless, the pipe is sold and is on its way out today. Thanks!
