Ben good looking Dyna, what do yo do for the USN? I spent my year in Iraq in Habbaniyah (between Falluga and Ramadi) thinking I will get one more trip on one of the MITT teams before I retire.
Speaking of surfing...I did quite a bit when I was younger...but I'm still way into checking out surfing documentaries/footage. If you're into surfing...particularly big wave riding, do yourself a favor and checkout a couple of really cool movies. The first is "Riding Giants". I thought it was brilliantly done. The footage is outstanding...and just the history of it all (as well as alot of featured riders) is covered really well. Also, I recently rented something called "Billabong Odyssey". Basically, they go around the globe and try to find/ride the biggest surf on earth. Once again, great footage....and just a really interesting documentary.
I've always been fascinated by big waves....whether standing on the jersey shore during/after a hurricane, or watching storm footage on TV. To see what some of these guys are doing is just amazing. Blows me away that these guys can survive some of those wipeouts. My family owns a house down near Lavalette, NJ. When I was about 12 years old, we went down the shore after hurricane Gloria hit to check out our house...the waves were bigger than I had ever seen before or since...probably 20 - 25 foot faces. I managed to get out for a bit, but it was just too big for me at the time. So to see these guys riding 60 - 80 foot faces is just unbelievable.
Picked up my new 06 FXDWGI from the HD dealer in Seoul Korea last Saturday. Bought it through AAFES. I already placed a bobtail luggae rack on it along with a sundowner deep bucket seat and quick detachable plates for a back rest that I'll use when the OL rides along. The WG rides much better then I expected and I am very pleased with it so far.
