New Dyna Delivered Today! (Sunday)
I also just posted this in "New Members" in case some of you Dyna lovers out there don't read posts in that area

Well, I've been trolling the Forums for 2 weeks now waiting to get my Dyna from the dealership. Kinda glad I had the time because I had time to learn allot of helpful tips and meet some great people here.
I bought my '06 vivid black Dyna Low Rider exactly two weeks ago. I kinda "had the gun to my head" at the dealership when I bought it since they had 25% off all parts and labor. If I waited for some big ticket items I'd be paying 25% more so I had to go for it.
Here's the changes I had done at the dealership:
- HD Forward controls installed
- HD detachable saddlebags installed (those sweet $800 babies!)
- Rear Turn signals relocated
Here's the changes I did myself:
- HD detachable windshield (quick clamp)
- HD detachable high back sissy bar with HD embossed backrest and HD tapered chrome luggage rack.
- HD chrome license plate holder
- HD script battery cover.
I was raised riding motorcycles (age 8 to 16) but haven't been on one since then (I'm 42 now). After 26 years I was nervous about hopping back on, but once I did, I got my "bike legs" back and everything fell into place. As I was riding along, I kept thinking "WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?"
My dad has an 06 Heritage Softail Classic that he got in November and my younger brother has an '04 Sportster. I had just got back from my first ride and was showing my neighbor my bike when the sound of a Harley caught my ear. It was my dad who drove 40 miles to surprise me. We both went for a ride and I had a great time. It was the coolest thing that he showed up out of the blue (my brother would have come too but he's sick).
OK, back to the Harley. I love having everything detachable! It's like having two bikes in one! I had to take some pictures for you all since you've been so good to me during my "waiting period". Below are links to a couple pics I took just before I hopped on and took my first ride (I left the images in hi rez):
Hope you like them
"Touring mode" (for when the wife and I ride)
"Solo Lone Wolf Mode" (for when I'm by myself and want it stripped down)
