Good looking bike as is Hiker. You'd be stepping down going to 412s shocks as those look like Prog. 418s or even Works shocks which are superior to 412s.

I hear ya Matt.. But both those shocks currently on the bike leak. The original owner installed 1.5" drop blocks and I believe that caused them to leak. Those shocks are sitting at too much of an angle to work properly..

I've looked at the 418's and they are sweet, but 412's are only $200 compared to $500 for the 418's..

Thanks for the comp...

I agree that overall 412s are a good bang for the buck (I've had 2 different sets on my sporty) but if those really are 418s or Works they're rebuildable which will fix the leaking seals unless of course without the brackets they're also too tall for ya. That black and white combo just looks good, so clean.

Thx Matt..

When I first saw the bike I thought it was refrigerator white and I checked into getting it repainted. But it's pearl white and it has grown on me. I claybar'd the paint job and what a difference that made..

The shocks are Showa's. Standard on Dyna Sport models. I'm not planning on doing any canyon carvng, those days are over. My main concern was the get a set of 12" shocks at their proper angle so I can hang some nice hard leather bags. Most bags I've seen are notched out in the back for the shocks. They won't fit with shocks at a 45 degree angle.
