Default Decided to buy a Fat Bob

I decided to buy a Fat Bob. Dealer is offering $16,300 OTD price for a black denim color 2014 model in PA. Good price? He is also offering 10% off accessories purchased same day and free PA inspections for life of the bike. I don't think I can get anything more out of him. How does this sound?

As a point of reference, I got my 2013 FXDF in early 2014 for $13.6k OTD with 1,000 mile service free. If price is a huge concern to you, wait until winter.

List price on a 2015 in that color is $16,099. Therefore, $16.3K on a 2014 is no good deal. Why would you think you can't "get anything more out of him"? Their salesman sounds like a pro.

You two are pretty close.

I was in the same OTD cost position when negotiating my bike, close but not there yet.

After my dealer's last offer I told him, "I can keep shopping, or we can close the deal right now for $15,900 OTD"

He took it. You ought to be in a strong position since 2015's are out.

He is discounting by the amount of tax and freight. Good luck.

Your feeling good about the price whether the absolute lowest or not is what's important.

Tell him you want 15% off any accessories and merch for the 30 days after purchase and a free FXRG leather jacket and helmet. All that should make that $16,300 look way better.

Considering I paid $47 000 for mine, I'd say it's a pretty good deal...

Then again, I live on the expensive side of the pond....

I have heard that your taxes are out the F'ing door over there too, like 200% or 300%. I don't understand how you all deal with that.

Offer them $100 above stealership cost for the bike, ask for $1000 in accessories, a free stage 2 upgrade, eliminate the stealer fee, lifetime maintenance, a free 5 year extended warranty, free tire and wheel protection plan, free Gap insurance, free tires for life, free roadside assistance, free lifetime HOG membership (if you're into that kind of thing), a stealer provided Gas card with no limit for life and guaranteed original MSRP trade in value on the bike for life... Then maybe, just MAYBE you'll have gotten a good deal.
