I bought my bike used and don't know if it has the hands free security system. It did not come with a key fob. I have a 2007 street bob. Thanks.

 

The key fob is the security. Hands free systems have a thicker fob. If you don't have a fob and the bike runs you don't have security.

 

I just switched my '07 FXDL. The security system requires the TSSM turn signal security module located in your electrical box and a security fob. It will only start in the presence of the fob.

I switched the security system out by swapping in a TSM module and having the dealer reflash the ECM. A simple key is more my style and nobody really wants to steal my ride anyway.

To add security you will need a suitable TSSM off of ebay, a $40 fob and a $50 dealer reflash. PMme if interested in mine.
