hey Rod.... i'm obsessing...better choice of words.... "thinking" is too tame a term!.... i'm flat out obsessing about which paycheck i can make the purchases i'm obsessing over....

i go to bed obsessing of this stuff!....and i wake up, having not made any progress, nor feeling any better... THAT won't come until i start buying... and spending money....and spending time in the garage... and spending no time at home...and spending more money...and....well..... it's a vicious cycle!

I found my stock seat to be very uncomfortable. After about a 1000 miles I changed it out for a mustang vintage solo. Its much more comfortable for the long haul.

Rode on mine for 5k , then swapped it out on a Mustang. I always felt I was sitting in a bowl and couldnt adjust my seating position at all. After about 40 miles Id start to feel it in my back . The mustang is definatly what the doc ordered.

I must have pretty tough *** then. I've put on some significant miles with stops only long enough to gas up and been fine, minor discomfort, but fine. I wouln't mind a sleeker looking seat though!

Helix, do you have some closer pics of that Mustang? And what did you pay? Thanks.

I bought a sheepskin 'buttpad' before the weekend ... several 100 miles on it ... a big improvement in comfort and I quite like the look ... that'll save me a few £/$ ...
From these guys ... very good delivery and reasonable price: http://www.alaskaleather.com/

I thought the stock seat was good as far as comfort goes. I just got a Corbin Hollywood Solo Brown Alligator leather seat. Looks great on the bike, a much better all around look. It's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days, so I have not been able to go for a nice long ride on it yet. Sitting on it in the garage feels good though.

I was satisfied with it as soon as it was sitting on the shelf in the garage. That was one of the first things I changed.
