Thank for your responses and thoughts everyone. One of my friends that works at my local H-D dealership is selling his thunder headers for a good price. Artox88, are you planning on selling your sideshots? If so for how much?

 

Love sound and performance of Thunderheader, but buy heatshields or wrap the beast - it's super hot. There's one in classified section with all heatshields - $550 - great price!

 

I run the V&H Side Shots and Fuel Pak on my 06 Street Bob with the quite baffles. I like the look and sound but with a full face helmet the echo goes right up into my ears. With forward controls my right leg rubs the hot pipe if I'm not careful or wearing low heel boots. I chose them for the slash look and deep sound with power H crossover. They looked cool on a friends NightTrain. Also to access the oil fill neck (scavenger) is easier.

I've only ever sat on a Street Bob with Thunder Header 2-1 and started it up. WOW that was a nice loud sound and got hot quick. I hear the power is there and has that Out Law look. Your choice for how you ride.....
