Default Horns

Is it just me, or do the horns on FXD's suck? It's hit or miss when I lay on the horn, sometimes its loud, and other times it sounds low and muffled. I have a buddy who just picked up a Springer Deluxe and he has the same problem.

I haven't gotten into the habit of using my horn that much, but I have an 05 Springer and the horn sounds great. When I push the button, it gets their attention. Like I said, I don't use my horn much, but mine sounds all right to me.

Mine only worked 1 out of 10 times when I first got it. Dealer replaced it. These horns are VERY loud! You should have it replaced.

Mine worked good on my "05" FXDWG until-
I hit a 2 foot deep water hole during a summer
thunder storm. Then it started making a funny
gurgling sound[sm=oopssign.gif]

Has anyone tried the high output horn kit, mounts in front on top of frame? Around here regular horn gets ignored - yelling seems to work but thats only after I catch up to 'em!!

I've also seen the airhorns mounted where regualr horn goes but not sure if theres room for compressor on dyna?
