Default Tired of my SEII slip ons

Had them on since day one; hate the script on the back pipe but theyt still sound great. Got a hold of a 7/8" drill bit and extention the other day and removed the 'plug' in my stock pipes. Have not tried them out yet... What can I expect should I choose to install?

Current intake/exhaust configuration:

> SE Stage I intake/filter
> SE Stage II slips
> SE Stage I dealership map.

It already runs on the lean side; will this help or hinder? Understand mid-range torque may also suffer...Just daydreaming between thunderstorms!

Seems like stock pipes might actually look unique anymore... :-)

I replaced mine with V&H Big Shots. Haven't changed the map yet and it seems to run at least as good as before, if not better...

Mine's an '07 and I was told with my SE slip-ons that to cut down the baffles or drill them out would make the bike run like crap. Not sure if that would apply in the case of the stock mufflers, but that's what I was told (by the dealer, anyway), in case you're interested.

When I pulled the baffles out of my seII's my rear head pipe turned purple in 25 miles! It went lean in a heartbeat! So I put on my new fangled set of screamin eagle pipes that say Harley on them instead of seII and got the lost power and proper A/F ratio back. I would like a bit more noise than I have now but not as much as the SeII with out baffles. Either their too loud or I'm too old!

Anyone got baffles for SEII that they'd like to sell????? My pipes are good but the baffles are FUBAR.
