Can anyone recommend a good set of throwover saddlebags for a 2014 Low Rider? I bought a set from River Road but they don't fit well at all so I'm sending them back. I'd rather not have to use a frame since that defeats the purpose of easy-on and easy-off. Thanks.

Sounds like an appropriate course of action. Once you do, what are you going to replace it with?

Sounds like you got some sort of a factory freak (and not it a good way) that is just thirsty.

Seems like most LR owners are reporting 42-48 MPG.

Purchased 238 Litres of Fuel = 52.3527 Imperial Gallons = 62.8729 US Gallon.

Ridden 2489 miles.

Averages to 47.54MPG Imperial Gallon or 39.59 US Gallon.

Now, as the HD Website states 43 MPG combined, I'm quite happy with my mileage.

Don't forget it's only a 4.7 gallon tank and the low fuel warning does come on quite (very) early (most I have ever got in the tank is 3.96258 US Gallon and covered 132 miles on that trip or 33.3 US MPG and that was mostly town riding.

What do your records look like for miles ridden v fuel put in? Also do you have a locking fuel cap?

A lot of good information. It is Junk Yard that is having mileage problems.

Perhaps Junk Yard just got a thirsty bike. Most LR owners have reported good mileage.

When you say "Got to get rid of it.", you mean the crappy mpg, not the bike, right?

Something is not right there. What about a locking fuel cap and seeing if that makes a difference?

Not joking - some folk are a bit light on their toes and syphoning a tank is easy.

I intend to get in touch with harley corporate. The dealer, who I've been involved with through out the years just haven't addressed the situation in a serious way. They pretty much dismissed it as normal. But I don't think it is at all "normal". Oh well. I just hope I get satisfaction. But I doubt it.

I am an experienced ride but new to HD. I am considering stage 1 but I like the stock chrome AC cover. Is there a way to put on a high flow AC but still use the stock cover?
Thanks.

Yes Jimbo33. You can get a Screamin' Eagle high flow AC and use the stock cover. That's what I did. Just ask your parts guy to help you order the correct kit.
