This was a great thread to see a year of progress on what owners have done to their bikes and over all impression of the bikes handling and performance.

Haven't seen any similar type thread on the other forum models. This one has been very useful for me to decide what to do over the winter to get it ready for the season.
congratulations, you got a great deal, I paid $1k more for the two tone otd, but that was back in July. Hope you enjoy your LR as mush as I do mine. it sucks with winter now as don't get near much seat time on mine as would like to, but have 5400 miles since July.

They delivered it this after noon. Took the passenger pegs off, the decal on the breather that claims motorcycles are dangerous and did two heat cycles during the evening.

Very smooth and quiet motor. It does need a different breather. Stock picks up air just behind the front exhaust pipe. Stupid is as stupid does.

So a breather and turner are in order.

Didn't like the weak horn so I installed a 110 + decibel horn . Can you hear me know?

Love the mods you made. Did you do them yourself or did you have the dealer do the mods?

I take it with those 970 shocks and front fork springs the bike must handle very well-much better than stock?

Thanks guys. . I do all my own work. The dealer told me that they had to do the 1k service or my warranty would be flagged. I found out that is bullshit. ..did it myself. She handles great. Much tighter and soaks up anything nasty.Sputhe Posi-trac is next. I plan on cams next winter (if I can wait).

Did you have any problem with the cables and electrics when you changed the bards? did you have to extend them?

Has anyone used any of these heat reduction products (ceramic coated Rush head pipe, billet oil filter cooler):

The heat reduction is damn impressive.
