Finally getting out for a ride tomorrow. Been at least 12-14 days since last ride. Way too long.

enjoy! Been awhile since I’ve been out for a ride other than last week I ran to the sheriffs department to renew ccw and took the bike. Otherwise it’s been too hot or I’ve been too busy.

Same here. Too hot or too busy. Will be getting my 40K service very soon.

Heat wave has kept me from riding for two weeks. One or two more rides before I go to the dealer for the 40K. Also going to need new tires in a few thousand miles.

Yeah, the weather has been horrid! If it's not raining, it's grotesquely humid. I won't complain too much...I could be in the path of hurricane Ida. 🙄

heat has been brutal here. Seems like every single day is mid to upper 90s with index around 100-105 and no rain in sight. Coolest days we’ve had recently were raining and we were at the hospital with baby. Looking forward to fall hoping to get some rides to the mountains in.

what kind of tires you thinking? I’ll probably be looking to replace my rear next spring.

Although I'm still waiting for my new rear wheel, my rear tire was down to its legal limit so I finally got it replaced last week. With a rare Sunday off tomorrow and good weather forecast, I'm really looking forward to a proper ride out with friends. It was also a welcome surprise to discover that, following a difficult year trying to do something different, my most trusted Harley mechanic has returned to work permanently at the dealer I use. That said, the dealer is, like everyone else, struggling to get parts and bikes to sell; I've never seen so few bikes in their showroom and most of the ones they had were already marked 'sold.' These are difficult days for those in the trade.

When I got my Low Rider it had Michelin Scorcher 31's. These were really nice, but only lasted 8 & 9.5K for the rear & front, respectively. Next I went with Dunlop American Elite tires 11 & 12K out of the rear & front. Both brands performed great, but I give the edge to the Elites because of the mileage. I'm currently running a set of Michelin Commander 3 Cruiser tires, 4K on the rear and 2K on the front so far. They are supposed to last even longer than the Elites. I've had some vibration issues ever since I did the front, and I can't completely rule out the tire. Michelin had some issues with a couple specific front tires sizes on the touring bikes, but I haven't found anything about my size, 100/90B19.

Grateful for the rare treat of an ideal day for a ride out with friends: 64.4°F, no rain, 265 miles, just over 6 hours in the saddle, and three coffee stops. (the car was not related to us, but provided interest at our first stop)
