On Tuesday I was finally able to get out and have a proper ride with friends; just 230 miles over 5 1/2 hours, but what a joy.

And one of them already has his hands on a f900 XR. They're just hitting the US now. Supposed to be a really fun, really great handling bike.

The 900 is meant to be excellent. The one in the picture is actually the bigger one; not my kind of bike, but undoubtedly brilliant for what it is. We must seem an odd selection!

Now I will have to look it up. Had not seen one or heard of one before.

Today was a great day. First, I got a nice burger from my favorite place. Then went shooting. Finally got out for 110 mile ride. Picked up some motorcycle wash on my way home so I can resume giving my bike a good cleaning.

Sounds like a great day! I'm stuck at work, couldn't even ride in today due to wet roads and fog, been raining here all week. Even my little boy is getting bummed, he normally watches me out the window when I leave out on the bike.

Sounds like my kind of day...In the summer I can usually squeeze in a ride and a trip to the gun club in the same day...sometimes I split the weekend. Ride one day, shoot the next...getting ready to take out the LR and going to the Club tomorrow...

You guys are making me jealous, I haven't even been able to make it to the gun range since early march. I have all this ammo sitting at home but no time to go use it!

My local indoor range is 3 miles from my house and I have been able to shoot just about every Friday this year so far.

Got up early today to ride. Stopped by dealer and picked this up:

Nothing like combing motorcycles and guns.
