2014 Low Rider
#6261
69 degrees today, beautiful day to be riding, and here I am at work lol. I did however bring the bike to work, chilly at 5 a.m. when I left but will be very nice when I leave this afternoon. I'm not the only one, another 3 co-workers rode as well today.

Weather took a turn and I was not able to ride Friday. But I was able to ride a bit today. Hit 30017 miles. Cleaned bike and filled up the tank and added the Stabil. Next ride will likely be at some point about mid-March 2020.

Nice to have dry weather and roads for the start of 2020. Remus no longer produce the muffler for the Low Rider, so for now I've fitted a used stock one I got off ebay instead; it's so quiet and smooth it feels almost like a Honda - not sure how long I can cope with that! Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to affect the way the bike runs and I was relieved there was none of the excess vibration I'd read about on the Switchback with the same stock muffler.

It is the LR I planned on buying when I went to my local HD dealer only to find out that someone got there about 30 min before I did and was buying the one they had. Ended up buying a Vivid Black one that was coming in the next week.

I liked the silver and black as well. I was ready to pull the trigger on one at a dealer but their price was too high compared to my local dealer. Local dealer had black so thats what I went with. Dealer closed at 6 pm I got off work at 4, rode my sportster home and swapped the slip ons to stock, changed the seat to stock and changed my LED turn signals back to stock then rode to the dealer and picked up my low rider. I was in such a rush I swapped the exhaust using oven mitts because I didn't have time to wait for it to cool down after riding home from work lol.

What is the story behind that?
