What are you doing....bragging??? Swing your leg over that bad boy and ride! Or, are you trying to sell it? You sure ain't riding it...how many miles did it have when yo bought it, 20?

Well got my new night dragons in and new bearings. Bearing tool comes in next week. Now I have to get off my butt and pick a powder color for the wheels. The stock dijon mustard brown look doesn't go with the green.

Mine too. I don't believe I have 18,000 miles this year, all totaled up, between bikes. I can remember during the 1970's and 80's doing in excess of 35,000 each year, but not this year. I got no reason, either. Just didn't ride as much. Hmmm...hell, I remember when I was coaching, I'd ride 9 different bikes every Saturday, then ride the last 3 or 4 on Sunday, out on the range, doing demo's. Over the weekend, I'd be sure to ride every student's bike on the range. (Part of QA.) Quality assurance.

Ok have changed the seat; handlebars; mirrors; battery cover; and unsmoked the chrome; waiting on grips; footpegs and air cleaner. Been.a few years since I did my last mods and needed a change.

I finally got some pics to post up:
So I have about 1000 mi on it since new Scorchers, detachable luggage rack (HD -Air foil rack, short upright), quick detach HD Sport Windshield, added some highway pegs
Windshield is a windshield. I can look over it and have in the rain, but am looking through it for the most part (5'9", 30 inch inseam). Windshield is good for another 10 mph on highway comfortably. I wear a full face 90% of the time. I took the chrome fender struts off when I added the detach spools and relocated turn signals. I don't have a problem with black and chrome, but this bike had a tad too much chrome. I think the red reflectors (flame me) break up the black on the uprights and are ok. I am not liking the air cleaner too much, my leg is hitting it pretty good and can't really use the hwy pegs comfortably. I got caught in the rain with that also, bike sat in **** pouring rain for about 30 min with no sock, and consequently ran like **** until it dried out an hour later. Just saying. The Scorchers aren't as good in the rain imo. Probably try a set of American Elites next tire go round.Got 7500 mi on it now exactly, bought new in Apr 17.
Want to know how you guys feel how long your stock battery can go. I'd rather replace early than burn up regulators and stators like I have in the past. Thanks for all the help, advice and reviews.

So figure you do about 5,000 per year. At that rate, you should get 2.5 to 3.0 years out of a battery, before it goes away on you. And that's if you plug it in to a tender when not in use. I use www.batterymart.com as they ship to my door. I almost always replace it when the starter slows down just slightly.

You can do it ike I have faith lol. Well mine is still sitting at 18k. Bought a new set of tires and figured while I had to do that I would powder coat my wheels. Good thing I did cause one of my bearings looked like it was about to give up the ghost. Just about to go pick the wheels from powder. And broke down while talking to hardcore cycles and bought a 2 over front end and some rwd shocks in 14" to replace my 13.5 stilettos. Guess my lowrider is becoming a highrider.
