Ahh that makes sense. Not many people here would know about that

In the same boat. One stinking ride all year. I just know when I take my LR in for them to replace the rocker cover seals, it will be 2 to 3 great days of riding weather.

Only one of my rocker box covers is slightly misting. The other is fine. However, I figure on having both replaced. 21,000 miles on the bike. Don't see any reason to wait for the other one to go bad. Anyone else do this?

Looking good. You are having better weather in MI than I have been getting in IL.

Looks like I will be able to ride for the second time in 2018 next Wed or Thurs. Absolutely dying to ride.

Rain forecast for tomorrow, so took the opportunity this morning to enjoy a 107 miles of sunshine. This evening, I thought I'd have another short ride, but discovered the rear tire had picked up a nail. So, no more riding for another few days while it gets sorted. Sadly, with laced wheels, it's at least a new inner tube.

Good thing you caught that nail before you were riding at speed on your flat tire! That's the recipe for broken spokes!

(I broke 5 in 200 yards of riding 2-up with a blown inner tube.)

Very true! Judging by the lack of damage to the rear wheel, I must have picked it up within yards of home. I'm glad you only lost spokes! Sometimes the thought of non-laced wheels is quite appealing.

That was one of my First Changes on my 05 Dyna, getting rid of the Spoke Wheels .. Luckily ran into a Buyer that wanted spokes so didn't cost me a lot to do the switch .. Picture below how it was bought and then how it's done Now ..

Hello,
Just wanted to drop in and say hello to all you Low Riders. It has been quite a while since I owned my Low Rider. But I'll never forget the ride and good times with the bike. I went to the 2015 Switchback after my Low Rider. Last month bought my first new Harley I ever owned. The 2018 Softail Heritage Classic 107ci. I loved all my Harley's but the new M8 Softail is really something special for me. Good power, smooth engine and excellent suspension. Ike, I do believe this Low Rider thread is the largest and most continuous on this Harley Davidson Forum. Take a bow my friend and everybody ride safe and watch your six.
Cheers
