Wish I could say the same. I've lived in the midwest my whole life. When I retire, it will be to a place with a longer riding season. Life is too short not to be riding.

Is that safe to do with an open air cleaner? Just wondering.

hmm good question I didn't really think of honestly. I never started the bike that day. Walked it out of the garage to wash and dry then walked it back in lol.

When my dealer cleaned by LR, which has a similar exposed air cleaner, they put a bag around it.

I cover my open K&N air cleaner with a plastic bag before I wash the bagger...

Seems like the right course of action.

Still waiting to get in my second ride of 2018. The few decent days it got warm enough I was at work.

Hope to get my LR to the dealer within the next week or so for the new rocker cover seals.

Wow....cams are a must in the LR. Finally got my compensator issue resolved by installing a new bdl comp. No more knock. Super smooth shifts. No clunk shifting from N to first. And she runs like a bat out of hell. Fast and loud. I fell in love all over again!

I'm not against cams, quite the opposite as they're a great way to get good, usable torque. That being said, a good Stage I tune can get your bike running great. Using an aftermarket exhaust and a SESTP, I have 95 ft lbs of torque and I'm getting 45-46 MPG.
