I gotta have at least some winter. I would lose my mind in SoCal again.
Yup thats how we roll in the PNW. Winter is also a great time for modding the **** out of things...I'm building a hot rod right now, planning on having it on the road by June.

Had my good friend over this weekend and he detailed my bike. He use to manage an Auto Spa back in the day and is very knowldegeable when it comes to the detailing arts. My bike is gleaming and looks new. Just wish I was out riding.

Changed my exhaust to a Fat Bob/Wide glide style. Got the system off Ebay but there was no way I was using the stock baffles so I made my own out of exhaust pipe and cut/welded the flange off the original baffles onto them. The decibel reading is just a bit higher than my modified Screaming Eagles at idle and constant cruise but they really open up under acceleration... They sound great all over and in my opinion the look is much better.

Took a few days off work due to my grandfather's surgery, had a couple days to get some seat time in. Took the fairing off until I have it painted, hopefully soon...also had a new Commander 2 put on the back since I managed to roast the last one in 6k miles...personally I dig the look of dynas with t-bars and no fairing when done properly, of course I may be a bit biased...

I'm digging how that supertrap looks, hows the sound quality? The longer look is the reason I went for a slip on and modifying my headpipe.

The sound is just like I remember on the old bike. Quiet at idle, but a nice rumble to let you know it's actually running, and an excellent deep roar when you roll on the throttle. Also neighbor friendly, which helps since I often leave a bit early in the morning to get a nice little ride in before work...

Been to GA many times since my best friend moved down there 20 years ago. I will retire either to GA or TN. A longer riding season will be a bonus.

Don't discount North Carolina...absolutely, fabulously beautiful and incredible riding. Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, plus many, many roads throughout the Western part of the State. The writers are a little tougher up in the mountains though. You're better off in Georgia and riding up there in spring, summer and fall...

It got up to almost 60 today and I was able to get a nice 35 mile ride in. First ride in a few weeks. Things are going to be such that I plan to ride Sat, Sun and Mon. A rare spell of nice weather. I will likely dream tonight of my upcoming rides.
