2014 Low Rider

I don't mind riding in the winter. I don't see snow where I live but the rain is another thing altogether. Heated gloves I found out are a must have. My normal glove with a freeze out liner just didn't cut it down in the 40 degree range. My fingers stay warm and I can tolerate riding so long as it don't rain. It just seems like when it rains the people out here in kalifornia just loose their minds. Which is par for the course but it's a special kind of stupid when the roads are wet.

Did you ever get the answer you were seeking or did you solve it on your own?

Winter has come a bit early. Any riding over the next few weeks will be in the 40s. Rode last Sat and not going to be able to ride until this Sun. Hope to hold winterizing until at least some point in Dec.

I imagine this has been covered but I've been unsuccessful with my searching.
Stock rear tire on the 2014 is 160/70B17. Without changing anything, such as belt width, what wider rear tires can I easily run on the stock rim?
What wider rear tire sizes are folks going with?
I'm looking at a Pirelli Night Dragon in 170/60R17 or 180/60B17
What would the down sides be to this change?

Cold weather is here a few days so figured I'd take the time and made a temp spray booth in my work shed and try painting. Figure why have a black fxdls like everyone else (always hated all the swirls that show on black paint. I ended up deciding on the blue I showed earlier in this thread. Here's to hoping it comes out right.
Hate to see it like this, but good things soon arrive. Now if I can just get the room and wire in my oven I can start to powder and change that wheel color.

Good question but I have no answer. Since I got 14000+ miles out of the original stock tires, I just went with the same tires.
