o rings
Hello,
does anyone know if the oil, primary, transmission o rings are the same sizes? if not, I'm in trouble because I used an oil drain plug o ring on the tranny plug. Both appeared to be the same size.
thx

Going to get a chance to test some of the 2018s this weekend. Hope to test as many as I can. Keeping what I got but want to see what the new bikes are like.

My bike has 19,200 miles. I just changed the gaskets when I changed the cam and lifters. So, if it is a defect, I'm glad I got ahead of it. At around 19,000, however, my rear wheel bearing gave out. The rear rim was ruined. My warranty had just expired. I decided to put new wheels instead of renegotiating the warranty (my local dealership wanted my to get the extended warranty). You may want to check those wheel bearings.

the sprocket side was toast, but caught it before ruining wheel, disc side did not look bad. front ones still feel good. am running belt slightly looser than service manual suggests.

While riding to work this morning started smelling something burning. Though it was exhaust fumes from the traffic. Got to work and saw smoke coming from the front cylinder. Though oh **** oil leak! Coworker pulled in and the smoke coming off the bike was very noticeable. Waited till sun came up and inspected the bike more closely. Saw oil on the rocker cover but no puddles on the ground. Called wife to follow me to local harley dealership in coco county. Checked oil level and was satisfied with crankcase. While riding 8 miles burning smell returned and as I pulled to service door shut off bike saw the front right fork seal was blown. Oil on the brakes pads, rotor front of the bike. Damn, only 18000 miles to. I don't stunt the bike just use it to commute and the occasional long distance ride for fun. Has anyone else had to replace the fork seals this soon? And it's 5 months out of warranty to make matters worse. Now I'll be stuck driving and sitting in traffic.......

Single front disc
Didn't like the fact that my '06 had a single disc up front. One of several reasons I bought a '15 was the dual disc brakes up front, especially because the front handles 75% of the braking and my rear brake is a little difficult to properly utilize because of peg position and after market pipes. Big mistake in my opinion to go back to the single disc...very expensive to upgrade...
