Here is a "better" picture of the first transgender Harley-Davidson... Faster, lighter, less stopping power... it's the 2018 No Rider

Does anyone know if the HD 1/4 (with Bung King Brackets and HD Clamps), which I have on my LR, will also fit the LR S? In other words, do the same bikes use the same headlight? I believe both the LR and LR S use the same 49mm forks.

Also, anyone running an oil cooler on their LR or LR S? If so, what is it and how do you like it?

I am looking into getting a LR S. Not all pleased with the 2018 Low Softail Rider.

Quarter fairing should fit. Can't say about the oil cooler.

One of the reasons I bought my LR was because of the 2->1 exhaust. Why buy something that you will have to immediately change out?

I do like the round AC though.

Stopped by my dealer on the way home from work to see what they could do a 2017 LR S that has been sitting there since March. Here are the numbers:

16500 for the LR S (a $1000 off MSRP)
-$9000 trade for my bike (which seems a little low)

$7500 difference plus tax, title and whatever other BS they dreamed up for a difference of $8881.

Does not seem like a good deal at all.

If you have the complete Bung King kit, it came with an extended headlight block and bolt. If you have those parts, yes it will bolt right on. If not, you'll need to source them somewhere.

Here is mine with the BK kit

Thinking of offering my dealer my LR and $8K for the LR S they have. Dealer wants my bike and about $8900 more.

The 2018 LR might be appealing to me if it had the dual front disc brakes. I like the 5 gallon tank and oil cooler and the 107 motor, but damn, why skimp on the brakes?

I recommend you go try to get that deal early. There might be a few other people about to do the same and we know how demand affects those deals.

I'm with you on the single front break but to me the deal breaker is the suspension. It completely affects the look of the bike getting rid of the shocks.

If someone beats me to it, I'll live. The bike has been at the dealer since March. They had one in 2016 that never sold and was sent to another store where it was sold.

Got a call from the salesman this morning wanting to know if I made a decision yet. Told him that I had not. Good advice from forum members has me thinking about other options. No reason to rush out and drop $8K and my current bike to get a LR S and then drop another $2K or more in parts and accessories.
