2014 Low Rider

Who knows if I'm just adding to the rumor mill, but I was at Oakland HD yesterday and the sales manager I've worked with told me that there won't be an LRS next year. I'm scratching my head on that, but he alluded to the fact that if HD would discontinue such a success so quickly, that there could be big changes in store for the FXD family. I guess we'll all see on Wednesday.

Everything I have heard so far says no more LR S. I am waiting to see what the 2018 LR has (110 or 107 I am hoping). Would love a LR CVO w/ the 114.

Well, it looks like there will be no LR S w/ the 114 M8, but it appears, for whatever reason, there is going to be a Fat Bob 114:
"An additional new model, the Fat Bob 114, will also use the larger engine. It will be sold alongside the normal, 107cu in Fat Bob."

I hate to say it but a Fat Bob 114 might be my next bike if this is true.

The way I read that article it said they are adding the breakout and fat Bob to the s family it didn't say the low rider s is dead. Either way it does not matter to me; I've got my s and if I buy another bike anytime in the next couple years the low rider s wouldn't be the only thing dead.

I like the Twinkie. It's going nowhere. It can lift the front wheel shifting into second and has a well balanced power/handling ratio.

"For the 2018 Harley-Davidson range there will be three sizes of Milwaukee-Eight. The basic version is a 92hp, 1746cc unit and its name, ‘107’. There’s also an 1868cc, 101hp ‘114’ version and a 105hp, 1923cc ‘117’ derivative."
Those are some impressive HP numbers. A Stage 1 103 TC is maybe 80 HP?
101 HP from a stock 114 is impressive. Would love to see a Stage 1 114 motor in a Dyna.

I have no interest in the new motors. I like simplicity in my Harley's. I get enough heartache working on the 954RR when needed. I have fast and not as fast in the garage.

I like the TC just fine but the new M8s seem to be pretty impressive motors. I plan to learn more about them.

Would love to see the LR S with a 114. I would prefer a LR over a Fat Bob. The M8 just came out on the 2017s. Seems like a big leap to offer the 114 in a Dyna just a year later. My LR has a 103. The current LR has a 103 HO and the LR S the SE 110. The standard Dynas will have a 107 for 2018. A 114 is jumping a head by 3 engines. Yea, I could easily be tempted.
