Yes he had mentioned a page or two back it is what comes stock over there. Too bad it wasn't an option over on our side of the pond.

What is the reason for the difference? Is the European market just that opposed to the different look?
I did switch out my stock exhaust, but stuck with a 2:1.

Does it also come with an oil cooler?

We will have to wait for him to confirm, but in the pictures it sure looks like it has an oil cooler.

Must be an additional option he is having installed. I just checked out the HD UK site and it does not show an the apparent oil cooler in the pics. It seems not to have the HO engine either (which the air cleaner hinted at). Looks like the HO and 2:1 only come on the Americas (north, central, south) models.

Hi guys,

Now that you mention it, there does seem to be an oil cooler there! I did not choose it as an option so it must come as standard over here.

The HD site is actually quite confusing because the pics show various different bikes, some with options and some without, so you are not really sure what you will get when you order one. I was very keen on the red colour and the 2:2 and agreed with the dealer that the deal would be off if it didn't come like that. We weren't sure if it would have cast or spoked wheels either, but I wasn't too bothered about that. Spokes look good but are a pain to clean and I don't like tubes, so I'm happy with the cast wheels.

Not sure about the HO engine. Is there a way to tell?

Oil cooler?

Referring to this? That's the emissions canister.

That would make sense as I believe their emissions are tighter over there. We don't have that on the Canadian models. Don't the California bikes have one too? In previous years the european models came with spoked wheels from the ones I have seen in this thread.

As to the high output motors you ask about, over here the engines come with a different air cleaner that says 103 H.O. on it. They also have a different cam than the non high output engines. Just go back and look at the pics of other bikes in this thread. The North American bikes haven't had the old pork chop air intake for a couple years now.

Ah ok, thanks. Didn't think we needed an oil cooler in the UK climate anyway

The bike comes in a gorgeous deep red colour, and I splashed out on a special number plate: RT66 LOW, haha (extra points if you get the RT66 reference).

It arrived at the dealer today and they are prepping it now. It will have a windscreen and a sissy bar and rack. I hope to pick it up some time next week.

I think the red color is the best color offered so far for the LR. Would love to see that red offered on the LR S. You will be getting lots of looks and compliments on your bike.
