I ground the rest of my paint off over the weekend. I'm still on the fence.

I like the look, did you clearcoat it as well?

Thank! I haven't added clear yet. I'm still not sold on the look yet.

I bought some stuff that displaces moisture. It has lanolin in it. It's supposed to make it rust proof as long as I rub it in once a month or so. It's good stuff so far without the oily greasy feel of wd40. Off-roaders have been using it for years on the under carriages of their vehicles to keep rust and salt away. I forget the name right now and the can is down stairs. I'm too lazy to go see the name, but I'll update this post tomorrow with the name.

You have a unique looking LR. I would clear coat it to prevent any issues.

In my opinion that looks like complete **** haha. Everyone has their own tastes though and glad you're making it your own.

It is like doing the rat rod thing with a bike. It seems to be gaining popularity. Not for everyone, but then what is? When I first seen a rat rod I thought it looked like hell. Now after a few years I think they look cool. It kind of grew on me.

Yeah. It's very rat rod looking. That's the first thing I thought about once I saw it.

Hahahah. Yeah man. I'm not sure about it myself. I sure get a lot of looks at the stop lights, but I don't know if that's good or bad 😬

to each his own, if you like it that way, great, only thing you just reduced your resale value greatly.
