2014 Low Rider

Very nice weather for Sun. Going on at least a 100 mile ride. I want to be at 7500 miles by the time I stop riding Sun.
I got a service flyer from my dealer that has a coupon for $50 off any service over $150. I hope I can use it before it expires 6-30-16. Hope to use it before it expires.
Anyone else every get one of these?

My dealer like most or all HD dealers has that Rewards Program. I actually got a $50 off Service Coupon on my next service that was in a post card they sent me. My dealer's syn full service runs $340. AMS Syn oil for the motor and AMS Syn for the transmission. I am closing in on my 10,000 mile service and would love to get $50 off that $340 service and I will still get reward points.

I wanted to update anyone questioning how high you can go with stock cables/wires on bar height. Previously, I think most of us thought we could only go to 10s max.
I was able to go to 12s with the stocks. I did have to do a few mods to achieve this though.
1) I had to reroute the clutch cable. I routed it on the other side of the frame (right side) so that it is a more direct route. This gave me a few extra inches of length. This is a pretty standard mod that can be searched on for more info.
2) For the front brake line, I had to bend the both of the connectors to gain the additional length needed. The connector off of the master cylinder is now at about a 45 degree angle verses the stock 90 degree angle. The bottom connector located under the bottom triple clamp was bent upwards about half an inch.
Simple mods, but saved me some dough and time.
Also, not all LRs have the same length cables/wires. There are some variances between each bike. I may have just gotten lucky.

Was able to get about 75 miles in yesterday. Will be riding to work most of the week.
Need to get to dealer for ignition replacement. Hoping to get closer to 10000 miles so I can get that service done as well. Also, I'm sure I will be needing new tires soon enough. I was surprised to learn that the LR tires are good for only about 10000 miles.

I hope your experience is mine as well. I also mostly commute to work. I am not abusing the tires in any way. I would love get at least 13000 or more miles out of my tires. I never ride in the rain and my bike is always garaged when at home and covered while at work.
What is the most miles any LR owner has gotten out of the factory tires that come on the bike?

Well, good timing....I received the recall notice for the ignition in the mail this evening. I have a 9AM appointment tomorrow for the recall, so I'll bring this letter to make sure the dealer does it correctly...on a scale of 1 to 10, I give 'em a 7 (at best) for competence in their service dept.
