After toying with the idea of new pipes, I just couldn't spend the cash on it right now. I had been contemplating removing the baffle to see what it would sound like, but it's a big risk as others have had bad results doing that on other models.
First I punched a hole in the center of the baffle and drilled a few holes in the backing plate. It did sound a little better, but it was hardly noticeable.
Today I went full bore and cut the baffle out. The bike sounds awesome now. I need more time on it to see if I lost any low end, but so far so good. It louder than stock, but not insanely so. It's a much deep rumble sound.

I also got slightly more decel popping. Not a big deal though and it didn't bother me. I'm probably going to invest in some DK torque inserts or build my own just to add a little back pressure. It certainly doesn't need it it though, it's more for piece of mind.
Here a pick of it cut out. It wasn't easy to remove. I originally tried an axle grinder. I couldn't get a good angle and just drilled circles around it to break it lose. Then I ground it flush with the grinder. It still needs a coat of two of black high temp paint, but it'll be done in a week or two.

Temps are rising nicely after another week of crappy weather. Heading out for a good 100 mile in a few hours. The rest of the week is going to be crappy weather.
I believe today will be my 6th ride of 2016. No where near enough for me.

How do you find the trouble codes on the new Low Rider? They don't have the little "rubber covered button" on the instruments, like most other HDs. Just curious as to whether my bikes has thrown any codes since I installed SE Heavy Breather and pipes.

Not sure. I have the PV2 and any error codes will be displayed on it. So far, I have had not error codes in almost 6500 miles.
