2014 Low Rider

Women on Low Riders? Hell yeah!!
Let me explain it to you Bob
For the same reason men do (no offense). I chose the Low Rider after riding and sitting on many different bikes and here's why:
1) When I sat on it, it was like it was built for me
2) 103 - what's not to love?
3) Looks beautiful - love the retro vibe
4) Handling and weight were perfect for me
5) Lots of chrome (baby loves her chrome!)
I really liked the Wide Glide, but wanted beefier forks, mag wheels and more chrome. I like the balance of black and chrome on the LR better and it feels a little more comfortable for longer trips.
For me, it's not the seat height directly, but the low stance puts you "in" the bike and not perched up on top, which is a distinct difference for handling.
I also ride my hubby's 2014 CVO Road King, but the LR is a better fit for me. He had a 2013 VRod Muscle I occasionally stole from him that I had a LOT of fun on, but it was a love/hate relationship with that bike. One day it was awesome, the next day it was awkward . But not the LR - it's awesome every day, and while I have only logged 1100 miles so far, I am completely infatuated with it. And that's the truth...long version

Yep, and didn't they do a Fat bob in 2009? I remember loving the bikes and hating the paint.

I chose the LR for the same reasons:
1. At 5'6, the LR fit me really well with the mid-mount controls and that seat insert thing. I had the bars moved a little farther back. The LR fits me like a glove and I can actually touch both feet to the ground.
2. The TC 103 is a wonderful motor. Especially when a full Stage 1 is done.
3. The LR is the best looking bike HD makes in my opinion. I have a dozens of positive comments from friends and family.
4. I believe the LR has the lowest weight of any Dyna or Soft Tail.
5. Enough chrome for my tastes.
6. Excluding Touring Bikes and V-Rods, only the LR and Fat Bob have dual front disc brakes. Something no other Dynas have and something no Soft Tails have.

2014 Low Rider
I finally jumped off the fence and got a 2014.5 Dyna Low Rider. The bike had 929 miles on it and looks brand new. I traded in my 2008 Sportster 1200 Low. One demo ride convinced me that this is the bike for me. The motor is smooth baby smooth. The six speed transmission shifts like hot butter easy. Did I mention I love that sixth gear. I'm glad Harley-Davidson brought back the Low Rider.

Welcome to the group and Congrats on the bike - you will LOVE it. My last ride was a 2009 XL1200 Low, so we are coming from the same background - I don't know why all the HD bikes don't have 6th gear...

It has a Bassani Road Rage, I would have preferred black but it's chrome, Big Sucker intake, 8 inch risers, and some new bars. The only thing it looks like I'll need to do, at first anyway, is wire up some turn signals. Previous owner must have taken off to streamline the look.
Bike should be getting delivered tomorrow afternoon!!
