Default Some more add-ons & photos

Hi All. It's a while since I last posted but been busy getting the bike how I wanted it - almost there now. Highway pegs on order then I'm done!
In the UK the LR comes with ABS, Security, Keyless Ign and laced wheels as standard. Changed the wheels for the mags as you can see.
My experience with mpg has varied between 46-53mpg when I bought the bike which was ordered with V&H slip-on and SE a/c and SE Super Tuner fitted. Since then I have recently added the 255 cam kit and done 168 miles at 50.6mpg. No problem getting 170 miles out of a tank. Total mileage to date 1700 since March. The cam kit made a vast difference to performance and its excellent - well worth the money in my opinion. Runs much better with no de-cell popping and sounds loud & great - will have to upload some video sometime; hearing is believing!
The 4" mini footboards can be rotated on the splined shaft so that the angle is just right for the brake without my foot resting on it and for the gearshift so I can get my boot comfortably under it - Brilliant.

I'm pleased that IkeLove has at last got his LR and for starting this thread where I have been able to get loads of useful information.

Best wishes to all and happy riding

Phil.

Very impressive work and pictures, phil-lip. Those are magazine quality photos. Only thing I noticed you did not have was a Superbrace Front Fork Brace.

Be sure to let us know how things go with your LR.

So far, no one has reported any serious issues or problems with their LR.

I know this is a longshot, but anyone looking to sell their OEM cast wheels shoot me a PM. Or, looking to trade for spokes....

Looks good Phil.

Are those HD wheels, if so where and how much?

When I bought mine last year the wheels were not on the options list and the dealer quoted me £2000 to get a set in, which I obviously refused.

V&H slip-on is on my list too still.

Thanks for all the comments.

IkeLove - I'm not sure that the Superbrace is something I would go for at the moment to improve road handling - what's your thoughts? My priority would be on the rear shocks either the HD premium Emulsion, Progressive 444 or Ricor's to improve the ride. Only thing is I've read some instances where folk have gone this route only to revert back to stock.

Neal - They are HD wheels and not an option on UK models. My bike came with laced wheels but I ordered the mags at the same time and the dealership fitted them for me. Rear P/N 40900289 @ £506.94 & Front P/N 40900280 @ £523.93. Also requires 4 bearings P/N 92760 @ £20.80 ea; sleeve spacer P/N 43905-08 @ £7.80 and sleeve/bearing spacer P/N 41748-08 @ £5.94.

The V&H Twin slash 2-into-1 slip on P/N 16801 @ £237.90 was fitted before I picked the bike up and sounds really good but obviously I don't really know how it sounds compared to stock since I never had a test ride on a stock LR! It made an almighty difference in sound (for the better) when I had the 2 stage cam kit fitted - well worth the change, not to mention performance increase.

ElJefeDeJefes - The laced wheels would be for sale, probably not much of a market for them in the UK and I wouldn't ship them anywhere else

Regards,

Phil.

Phil,

Looks good! Did you shorten that pipe? It looks shorter in the latter pics. If so how did you do it? Thanks.

Phil,

Nice looking bike. What part number(s) are you ordering for your highway pegs?

My bike has been at the dealership for the last week. Keeps dying while riding. They've got their Master Tech working on it but he hasn't been able to fix it yet. Getting a bit frustrated with not being able to ride. We've had 70-80 degree whether the entire time. I get jealous every time I see someone on their bike. Can't wait to get mine back.

Love this thread. Ride safe fellas.
