I have 2 covers. One for winter storage, which is in a storage unit and a bit of overkill but my wife bought it for me. It`s from Empire covers and is:
Titan 5L Ultimate Waterproof Motorcycle Cover.
And the second one is a half cover that I keep in my saddlebag which takes up very little room. It is:
Oxford Umbratex Motorcycle Cover which also protects against rain and dust.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be extra careful when it comes to the tank.

I also got the Titan 5 from Empire Covers. One hell of a lot of cover for $90 and free shipping.

Yeah it is definitely a heavy duty cover. To much to keep in the saddlebag. That`s why I also bought the Oxford. Even though it is a half cover, it will still encompass my LeatherPro saddlebags while keeping a safe distance from the hot pipes. Packs up into a 8x12 pouch and only cost $23.00.

Haven't checked this thread in a few days but no you're not the first. Mine did it right after I bought it in June of last year. Was riding down a dark back road and all of the sudden the tach and speedo lights shut off. The gauges themselves were still working just the lights turned off. Came back on in about 10 seconds. This happened a total of 3 times over the Next few weeks and just as I decided j was going to the dealer it stopped happening. Never seen it again and it's been a good while

Congrads. Be sure to post some pics when you get a chance and keep us updated on what you do to the bike.
