I am looking to purchase a custom 2 up seat for my 2000fxdl. Of course, along with style I would like to keep the comfort aspect as well. I am looking mainly at The C&Ccustom seats Sport tour model and possibly the Bar enterprises hitch hiker model. If anyone has any personal experience with these or possibly could reccommend something all together different my ears are open. I would really like to get something that will be comfortable for the long hauls not just accross town. Please help if you can.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me how long you have ben using the seat? How is the comfort for long haul compared to the stock? and what is the feedback for the passenger comfort you have recieved.

 

I put about 20,000 miles on my bike with the stock seat. I rode to Sturgis and back with many 400-500 mile days also on the stock seat.

Then last year towards the end of then summer I decidedit was time for a new seat. I tried a MustangVitage Wide Solo. I didn't like the way it looked or felt.

I returned it for a Corbin Dual Tour, It was very, very, very firm but the leather was fantastic,

After putting 2000 miles on the seat it was still too firm for my liking. I had heard Corbin will custom adjust a seatone time for free. I sent the seat back. They trimmed some of the hard foam, added a 1/2 inch of softer foam and the seat is now FANTASTIC!

 

Buy it for cheap off ebay. Lots of variety. Cheap.

 

HD Sundowner is very comfortable for 2 up all day rides. Looks suck but that is what I put on when me an the OL ride.

 

i didint have a prob. with the stock seat but the wifey hated the thing so i got the sundowner just yeterday. looks like i installed a couch on my scoot lol!!!

 

Looks very comfy. just not the look I am going for.

 

man i sat on a corbin at dealer a salesman had just installed and i thought i was sitting on a bench, i said sh** this is crazy he said well it will break in, in a couple of months, i said good luck saw him again and he gave it back actually admitted it was sh**

 

I have been hearing a lot of the same stories. Not to mention they are the most expensive on the market. I am now looking into bar enterprises as well. Almost positive Corbin is out of the picture at this point, though nobody has as good of a warranty.
