honestly, there isn't a dyna i _don't_ like..

there are things i like, and things i'd replace on each. but that's part of the fun for me..

 

Wideglide.

I spend the money to built by Superglide the way I want. The picture below, is before all the changes. I now have a wideglide front-end, front end is raked, and alot of other stuff. Custom paint, etc.

I HATE the handlebar speedo....belongs on the tank.

BINGO! I bought a Super Glide in '02. Now you can't even call it that any more. Over the past 5 years I have totally chromed the engine (FXD's come with aluminum covers), lowered the rear end an inch (now it is as low as a low rider), put a mid-glide front end on just this year, put on risers, forward controls, etc. I probably paid about 3 or 4 grand less than a Wide Glide. I recommend any and everyone go the route I did if you can't afford the extra money but don't want to buy a Sportster. The entry level Super Glide or Softail Standard for that matter, can be converted to anything you want in the future. All you need is the money, but no one says you have to do everything at once. As I said, took me five years...

 

WG! Oh yes....it will be mine ! Now to keep saving , scrimping , and maybe cancel my kids college funds. No more trips to Walmart and Target for the wife and in a few years I may have one under my Christmas Tree. If Im a reaaallly good Boy. Lately Its been freakin Coal!

 

Me too, I really like the bob tail. My second favorite rear fender is the deuce's drag fender.
