I've talked to a dealer who has a 2005 with Screaming Eagle II pipes.
The dealer is a 50 mile drive from me so I would like to get an idea
how loud these pipes are before making the trip.

#1 - wake your wife up first thing. And I do mean thing.
2 - Consider rolling the machine out to the street,
and positioning the pipes so they point down the street, not at anyone's bedroom window.
I have VandH ShortShotStaggereds on my 06 SuperGlide.
My neighbors never have even mentioned noise.
They do look at me funny when I pee off the front porch.
3 - If you are interested in the 05, and the SEIIs are gonna kill the deal,
I have a set of stock pipes and mufflers that could be yours for a
very reasonable sum of money.

I have the SEII's with BCT baffles and live in a quite burb. So far, no problems. It's not that 6:30 am, going to work, that pisses your neighbors off, it's that 11:30pm blasting into the driveway or your buds leaving your house ripping through the neighborhood that gets the ire up. Whoever complains, just make sure to rip the throttle when you go by. Better yet, pull into their drive and ask them for a beer. Most of them will have an ankle biter that's annoying as hell to everyone!
I especially love my pipes when I pull up beside the A-Hole at the traffic light with the windows down and the bass from the radio rattling the windows. I give them a new meaning on LOUD. Got a cager the other day on a cell phone. Sometimes it feels good just to **** someone off.
Oh yea! My pipes annouce my arrival at home now and the wife opens the garage door. Great training tool.
