Here's a friendly little neighborhood tip:
"Generally speaking 1 out of 5 homeowners around you will be an A-hole.
To find out who it is just stand at your front porch and watch your neighbors.
If they all seem pretty nice....then you're the A-hole."

The SE II are loud mufflers when you get on it, at idle and low RPM's they are still noticably louder than stock without question. If you keep the power down when leaving in the moning, the neighbors will only throw tomato's at you and will not shoot at you. A big bore makes it even louder as will a cam too.

I have them........not an issue in my hood but we have 5 here and the HOA Prez has a RK with SE exhaust.......but if you roll you bike down the drive in the morning versus starting it between 2 buildings nobody should bother you. Just start the bike...sit for 15 seconds...slip the clutch and warm up down at the curb.

I have the SEII's on my 03 SG and I live on a quiet block. I agree with everyone. They are a little louder than stock, not offensive, but a much deeper sound. Take off slowly and keep the RPM's down and you shouldn't have a problem.
If you really crank the throttle you will set off a car alarm or two.
Good luck with the new ride.

I wouldn't worry about SEII's being too loud for your neighbors. THey aren't that loud. Just don't get on it leaving your house.
Had them on my '05 sportster loved the sound. Never bothered my neighbors at all when I left for work at 6am.
Oh and one more thing I'd rather listen to your motorcycle in the morning than the garbage truck.

That sound file is FRICKIN HILARIOUS!!!!
"GOOD MORNING MY NEIGHBORS!!!"
I'm going to have to do something with that sound file now - hmmm, maybe on my laptop when it starts up? Maybe a cell phone ringer?
