Default chirping noise on 06 FXDBI

the last few days ive noticed a chirping noise a little squeek that occurs off and on, mostly upon exerlation but once the motor is warm i can rev it up and hear it while standing next to it. ive had this happen before and turned out to be a lose exhaust bracket, but this time ive gone through and tightened everything down and im still hearing it. its driving me nuts , its a very slight sound almost inaudible kinda like a dog whistle only i can hear it , it almost sounds as if itscoming from inside the motor on the exhaust side around the timer cover. anyone have any similar issue or a good suggestion of what it might be?

Sounds like it could be the belt chirping. There are several posts on belt noises. If that is what it is,a little paraffin dragged along the edges of the belt should take care of it.

This still true?

Could be a baffle.

Could be one of those self induced sounds too?

I have a strange noise coming from my engine as well. Idont know ifit as a chirp though as its very hard to describe. I can be in 5th at 60 and hear it over my pipes or in 6th at 75 doesnt matter as I hear it in all gears. Almost sounds like a rushing of air through a tube. Ive leaned my head over the side next to the engine and gave it gas and you can definatly hear it then, after I stabalize throttle I still hear it.Ive checked everything and nothings loose etc.Ive been tempted to take it into the dealer for them to look at for some time now. The bike doesnt use oil and its running fine so i figure its ok... Who knows
