check under rear fender,where the wires go to the tail light. i had a bare wire that caused this same problem. several have reported this same problem . 50/50 chance i bet this is the problem : look for a bare wire .

last night i went and to see if the alarm still worked, so i got on it and the lights flashed and everything, and i rode it for a while today and the light didnt stay on. I dont know what the problem was.

You guys that only have or had the red light come on due to the wires being rubbed got off lucky. My problem was and STILL is the left turn signal keeps coming on it's own, won't cancel out or will only cancel out by turning on the right turn signal. It won't do it all the time andthe two times that I have taken it to the squealer to have it checked out, the problem seems to fix itself. Tim
