Default Bigger rear tire using stuck?

I got a 2012 dyna super glide (FXDC) it uses a 160-70-17 rear tire, so I was wondering, using all the stock parts, can I use a 180-70-17 tire?

PD
I do have a detachable back rest for the passanger, so I did move the lights

Thanks

How wide is the rim?
How much clearance do you have between the tire and the belt or anything that may rub?
All you have to measure is the one place that it is narrower.

HD makes a 180 tire kit for the Dyna, it's a180/60-17, I would guess that the 180/70 is only 5mm (.20") taller or 2.5mm (.10") larger on the radius. Either way I don't think its an issue, many people here have done it, using the detach fender bracket (in the link, you can order them by themselves) helps a lot to eliminate clearance issues.

I think that I bought it last year, I need to double check (I got it becuase I set the "One-Piece Detachable Sissy Bar Up right" and I had to move the turn signals and I remember those metal parts show in the link sent by you.

This is how it looks like right now

I gonna double check, thanks

Man, great job on your bike, I saw that Cycle Visions sells the Dyna-Baggertail Saddlebags but that is really expensive :S

If you have the brackets already via your detach / turn sig relocation kit you should only need to mount the 180 tire. You could always get the actual width of the tire and compare it to the space under the fender.

I didn't go with the CV kit for my bags, to much money. I think I might have $500 in everything all together. I modified some touring bags, trial and error process, ABS is great until you want to modify it by cutting a big hole in it and reworking it.

Do you have pictures of your windshield? I have curiosity of what you did since I see some black parts

I have a 180 Pirelli Night Dragon, they are made for the Harley rims. The detach hardware kit should do it, because it takes place of the stock nuts on the inside of the fender. I used aluminum foil tape to hold the wiring against the underside of the fender just to make sure there was no contact with the tire.

i have a 180-55-R17 Road pilot 3 on mine and i never used that silly kit and yes i have bottomed out the rear springs as well and never had any wiring issue. However the handling was greatly enhanced i feel with the lower profile radial tire.

Biggest problem I ran into when I went with the SE180 was the turn signal wiring. Have since gone with touring lights so its no longer an issue. Protect the wiring and keep them tight to the fender and you should be good.

Here is what the hardware from the "Wide Tire" kit looks like:
