After a new exhaust and got it narrowed down to these 2. Bike is 96 fxdl, 10:1 wisecos, vthunder 3020 (midrange) cam, stock heads.
I currently have se slip ons, and they perform okay, but just dont have that deep thump sound I'm after.
Anyone with experience with any of these pipes feel free to comment.
While I expect solid performance (as good or better than current setup), I'm not trying to break any records. Mainly after that deeper tone. Visually and on paper the two are very similar. Both have crossovers built in, and are very close in design, so performance should be comparable.
Mainly comes down to quality, sound, and price. The cobra's are about $130 bucks cheaper, so that is weighing heavily on my decision, but if quality and sound are THAT much better w/ the big shot's I am willing to drop the extra coinage. Rambling over, opinions/thoughts?

 

Vance and Hines has a reputation for having better and longer lasting chrome.
I like sound of V&H better myself and most all people I know also like V&H better. But that is just opinions coming from me and my sources.

The big shots will give you some of the best performance out there for a 2-2 pipe. The perfomance is close to a 2-1. Plus the chrome holds up and they sound nice.
(well not as nice as the propipe) but still good

 

I have V&H Big Shots, and like the way they sound and perform. Like Rooti said, they are the closest 2-2 in performance to a 2-1. As far as how the chrome holds up, whats chrome?
