Default After market tires

I am looking for new tires for my 13 Fat Bob and wondered what people are using. The Harley tires seem a bit on the inflated price side.

Fat Bob options are limited. Metzeler makes the ME880 at a decent price for the Fat Bob, but not yet the 888.

I wish the Mich Commander IIs came in the right size for it

How does that compare to the OE? Grip, wear and ride?

I can't speak for the Fat Bob, but the stock Michelin Scorchers on my Street Bob were just OK. They lasted 10k miles and would have gone further, but the compound got hard and shiny. Replacing them with stock HD Scorchers was way overpriced too. I ended up with Commander II's and couldn't be happier.

I used to run Metzelers on race bikes and they make really good tires.

If your stockers were Scorchers, I'd suggest you would be very happy with Metzelers.

I believe Avon makes Cobras in the stock Fat Bob size. Im running them on mine but I swapped to 18" wheels. If Im right about them making them in 16" I would highly recommend them. Its a great tire. Wont last as long as the hard *** stock Dunlops but the grip like a ****.

replaced the stock dunlops with metzelers 880 the bike handles so much better and has better wet traction running the radial on the rear.
