Default Grab strap mounting on two-up street

I've got my new badlander two-up seat thanks to Bronk... now what's the smart way of getting the passenger strap mounted? Any ideas for this?
Thanks guys.

The strap gets bolted on first, then work the seat through it.

Is there any particular reason you want to keep the strap? The general consensus seems to be that the grab strap is a great idea, but it doesn't actually get used. Most passengers are prone to wrap themselves around the rider, and ignore the rather ugly looking strap.

Th easiest way after the strap is bolted to the fender is to push the back of the seat through the strap at an angle to the right or left of the bike so you don't scratch your tank, then turnthe seat while pulling it to the rear of the bike enough to get the front bracket in place, slide it in place and bolt it on.

I think the strap is used as a decreative piece than a grab strap.
