Any Canadian boys know where I can find a Deka north of the border? Preferably in Calgary.
My HD battery has lasted me 7 years, just starting to get weak.

Well as I thought there would be plenty of conversation on this subject. I purchased a battery with five hundred cold cranking amps on the internet last November and at first it was fine. Two months later it was dead even with a battery tender on it all the time. The parts guy at HD explained to me these other batteries are not made like the HD ones and the vibrations of the engine ruins them. He said the ones made for HD have inner walls for lack of a better word internally that shields the plates from these vibs. Anyway I purchased the HD one and it is still cranking just fine with no problems. I know it sucks to have to pay this much for a battery, but in the long run it will probably be worth it. Just my two cents, good luck on your decision.

That was my concern, as I am running on my original battery still.
From what I have found and have been told, Dekka makes the HD battery. There are a lot of guys running Dekka batteries.

Cheapest so far I have found up here is $115 Thanks again NSCoyote!

I just installed an EverStart ES20LBS from Walmart in my 2009 Fat Bob. Just under $77 plus tax. Replacing the battery cover was tight but it went on. The bike starts with authority, I hope it stays that way.

This battery replaced the POS HD battery I bought at the stealership 2 years ago. One of the cells went bad while on the battery tender this past Winter. I'll never buy another HD battery again.
