So I have this idea of putting a Sundowner solo seat on my '03 Wide Glide, but I am not sure how it would look. I tried to search and nothing came up, but I can't imagine I am the only person who ever wanted to do this. So this lead me here, looking for your help. Does anyone here have any input or even better pictures of an FXDWG with a solo seat of any type on it?

 

A solo seat looks good on any bike, more like it really should. Check around, there are lots of WG's with solo seats. Throw a small luggage rack on the back and you're all set. When you want to ride 2-up, just swap out the rack/seat for the stock or other 2-up seat. Best of both worlds.

 

This ain't a real good angle, but here is a pic of my Mustang Vintage Wide Solo. I have a fender bib behind the seat to cover the rubber fender cushions. It really is a nice looking fender with all the stuff off of it.

Looks good Murph. Now what you need is a headlight visor and front and rear turn signal visors. I just happen to know a guy that is selling some gently used ones in the classified!!! I have that same bike, and it looks like the same handle bars on my bike. I just installed a set of Road Winder wheels on mine that I bought from Orangecrush here. Then I put a 7" deep tri-bar headlight on mine.

 

Thanks Steve. Those pictures are 4 years old and a few things have changed. I'm trading it in on a new FXDC if it ever gets here. Was supposed to have shipped from KC on the 12th, but it's not here yet. Dealer keeps saying "any day now". That Corbin seat was a good one, just sold it last week as it won't fit the new bike. I have a Motherwell solo luggage rack for sale if you decide to go that way. I saw your ad for the light visors, not my style personally but thanks for the heads up.

 

Mine had a solo when I bought it. Wrong seat for the job so I swapped it. I do like that Corbin 1-up though.
