Dyna with a Balanced Motor?
#11
Until 2011, it had been over35 years since I had a bike and I could not decide between a dyna and a fat boy. Cranked a fat boy then an fxdc. Without riding either, my decision was made. To net it out, the dyna feels like a motorcycle should and the softail does not in my opinion. I love the shake at idle.

My sig bike is a prime example of that; smooth idle, but past 3K rpm it starts to vibrate to where there`s a slight buzz in my mirrors. The Dyna I traded the sig bike for was smooth as silk past 1200 rpm.

Then you need to re-read the comments here, because what you just said doesn`t make sense.

The A motor vibrates a lot more under 2500 rpm. The B motor doesn't vibrate much down there, but vibration increases with the throttle opening. The swingarm with the B motor is mounted directly to the frame, with no rubber mounting to damp the power pulses delivered to the rear wheel.
The rubber-mount unbalanced setup is quite a bit smoother at high throttle openings on the freeway, like when accelerating, or driving over 80 (as long as you're over 2500 rpm).
