Default Air cleaner opinions

So next step on my bike I would like to do a breather and tuner. I am pretty set on going with the Power Vision tuner. Seems to be a good investment for making changes in the future.

One thing I am going back and forth on is what style breather to go with. Any benefits to a round style vs a cone style? I honestly like the looks of both. The Ness Inverted is pretty badass.

Congrats on the new bike, looks very nice. I really like that color.
Any aftermarket breather will give you more flow than you can use, so just go with whatever you like as far as appearance goes.

I don't think you can do better than a Power Vision from Fuel Moto.

On the air cleaner, almost all aftermarket A/C's will flow more air than your engine can eat. That leaves two other factors-

Looks, which are completely subjective.

Does the air cleaner feed the crankcase air back into the air cleaner.

There are only a few companies that make air cleaners that are NOT feeding that hot oily air back into the air cleaner/throttle body/combustion chambers.

You HD engine will run stronger, last longer, and not need retuning if you vent that hot oily air to the atmosphere instead of into the intake.

Cool dry air = better peformance

Hot oily air = reduced performance and a build-up of carbon on your pistons.

All of our OUTLAW 587 HiFlow Air Cleaner vent to the atmosphere, not into the engine...many different looks/styles.

Here are a couple of pics that show the performance difference.

I am a big sucker 1 fan, have it on every one of my harleys lol. It sucks! Basically I don't want anything blocking my beautiful v-twin.

I like the transparent cover one from DK. Also half the price of the Ness Inverted.
