Just so you know, I have a split tank and the only cross over is at the extreme front of the tank. So with the tank lift and rear lowered I'm screwed.
What year and model?

Here's a pic of the kit close up and a profile shot after I'd swapped my Burly kit on (which is now back off lol)

That looks great. I like the paint scheme with the black.

I just did the 2" on my 14 Wide Glide. Definitely had to change the crossover tube. There is no way you could get around not changing it. In fact not sure if its just related to the 2014 or 2014 WG, but even with the new crossover line, it comes off of the tank petcock and must turn almost 90% to get down and around the frame, but it does work.

Should be the same all the way down to the 2010s at the very least...

What exactly to you change out to?

I can't describe why but the tank lifts make it look a lot better, maybe more of a chopper look?

Could just be a WG thing, I did the 2" also and have room to spare in the xover on my 14 FB.

HD is not consistent in how long they cut the crossover line at the factory. Most are long enough for a 2" tank lift, even on the WG's, but some are not. That is why we include hose with each kit.

It is a 1994 HD FXSTC. These bikes use TWO separate tanks and do not use our regular tank lift. It is a special tank lift kit, specifically for Split tanks.

All Dyna's, from 1999 - up use our regular tank lift kits and do not have this issue.

94 softail custom, it's because of the split tanks, the only crossover connection between the two sides is the crossover tube at the front of the tank
