Default Buyin some wheels, quick reply appreciated!

Soo I have an 07 street bob which came with the chrome spoke wheels. I've considered taking them apart and PC the hoops and hubs black, relacing etc. I've found some black w stainless spokes from an 08 dyna on a buy n sell thing here in town. I know harley changed the 1" axle to 25 mm in 08 so my question is. Do I only need to buy different bearings and they should "bolt right on"? The black wheels would come with rubber and rotors/pulley, has anyone on here done this swap before? Will I need to use my original rotors and pulley? Will the rotors and pulley even fit on the 08 wheels? I wish they weren't an hour away or I could just go look for myself, any advice would be greatly appreciated! In a nutshell, I'm wonderin what it takes to get 08 wheels on a 07 dyna.
Cheers

the 08 wheels have single row 25 mm bearings where as the 07 has double row 1 inch bearings... youll need single row 1 inch bearings to put in the 08 wheels then everything else will work... heres a link to the bearings... also available on ebay.. just search for 6205-2RS-16 Sealed Bearing...

I've read somewhere that the bearings are different widths, may have to machine the spacers? No big deal I suppose, anyone care to chime in on that?
Cheers

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but from what I read you run into spacer probs when switching to mag wheels. Most spoke wheels will be the same.

I'm also converting to newer wheels on my '07 WG. I've heard the same things about the bearing width issues. I was told I needed to convert to newer axles, spacers, etc. This would save a lot of time and money! I have the newer bearings in my garage and I measured the width, .590" which converts to 15mm, the same as the ones listed above. Really glad I looked at the forum tonight! SuperFastGlide, have you done this mod?

Thanks,

Matt

Yes, I have 08 crossbones wheels (originally 25mm) on my 07(originally 1 inch)

the machined recess depth on 08 wheels will only accommodate the newer style single row bearings, so its easier to just change to a 1 inch single row bearing rather than swapping axles and spacers...
